I'm the crazy, super extra, and passionate soul behind InJoy. I'm a Marylander married to my not-so-high school sweetheart (we went to high school together but didn't date until years later). We are blessed with our 3 beautiful children who are spread apart in age so we always have a little bit of everything going on!

I'm a HUGE homebody, crafter, and baker who will try it myself before I pay someone to teach me. I get excited about conjuring something out of nothing. I'm a firm believer that life is what you make it so I make a conscious decision to seek happiness and serenity in my life.

With the support and encouragement of my husband, I started InJoy in February of 2021 after being laid off from my job for 9 years; before working that job, I had a dream job, planning meetings and events across the country. While I loved that job, a tragic event occurred when my son passed away, making me rethink my time away from my family. So, I ended up getting a desk job in a different industry. My love for event planning had always stayed with me, so when I was laid off, I saw this as an opportunity to fulfill my dreams and supply a need for unique and intimate gatherings during the pandemic.

 

I come from humble beginnings and a family of exceptionally creative women from architects, educators, textile, and culinary artists who taught me the power of imagination and faith. It is my mission to provide effortless and unforgettable experiences, bringing joy to the DMV.
